Cercis chinensis 'Avondale'

Common name: Chinese Red Bud

Deciduous shrub with heart shaped, green leaves that turn buttery yellow in the autum. Bright pink, pea like flowers are produced in early spring on bare stems. These are followed in the autumn by long seed pods that persist for most of the winter.
