Cornus controversa

Common name: Wedding Cake Tree

Small to medium size tree with regular, layered branches which gives it a very interesting shape. The branches are covered by creamy white flowers in May followed by small black fruits. In autumn the leaves turn rich red and gives a fantastic display. Grows on most soils but best to avoid strongly alkaline conditions.
