Betula ermanii

Common name: Ermans Birch

Deciduous tree which is both vigorous and elegant. Leaves are bright-green and deeply toothed with prominent veins and turn clear yellow in the autumn. Peeling creamy white bark on the trunk and papery brown bark on the branches. Catkins emerge in the spring with the first leaves. Grows well on any well drained soil.
