Parrotia persica 'Vanessa'

Common name: Persian Ironwodd 'Venessa'

Small tree with a wide, rounded canopy. New leaves are red when they emerge and harden to dark green with bronze edges. When mature produces small, bright red flowers. One of the best trees for autumn colour with a spectacular display of red, purple and gold colours. Grows well on most soils including chalk.
